More than half of mental health difficulties develop by the age of 14 years and can cause significant limitations into adult life. We believe that enabling young people to learn evidence-based skills for emotional resilience is essential for equipping them for the challenges of adult life and has potential to make long lasting and profound differences to their quality of life.

Ensuring our programme is firmly grounded in the evidence and backed up by rigorous research is critical to our ethos. We have studied psychology to doctoral level and we both hold university positions and place strong emphasis on research and evidence based practice. We also both have extensive clinical experience of working therapeutically with young people and their families and have worked clinically with hundreds of young people; we understand the challenges they face and the complexity of work in this area.
